Spanish: Sangria

(serves 1-3)

Ingredients:

Red

White

Rose

wine

1½ oz pino noir (Farm to Table)

1½ oz pino grigio (Pasqua)

1½ oz rose (11 Minutes)

liquor

¾ oz brandy

¾ oz Cointreau

¾ oz Cointreau

sweet

¼ oz simple syrup

¼ oz simple syrup

¼ oz blue agave

garnish

lemon, orange, green apple

lemon, strawberry, mint

orange, blueberry, sage

bubbles

½ oz soda water

½ oz soda water

½ oz prosecco

Procedure:

  1. Slice fruit for garnish (if needed); place fruit in a bowl with Cointreau; cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours (or overnight)
  2. Combine wine, liquor, and sugar in glass; stir
  3. Add ice cubes, top with bubbles and garnish

Note: Try rum or gin instead of brandy for an alternate flavor profile; add fruit juice if desired
